- How do deposits work?
- CoatBoss uses Stripe Connect. When a client pays a deposit through your proposal, the money is deposited directly into your Stripe account and paid out to your bank on Stripe's normal schedule. CoatBoss never holds your money.
- Does CoatBoss take a cut of each deposit?
- No. Stripe's standard processing fee applies (the same fee you'd pay taking a card anywhere), and you keep 100% of the remainder. No platform fee from us.
- Can I use it on iPhone and Android?
- Yes. CoatBoss is a phone-first web app that runs in any mobile browser. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like a native app.
- What happens if I downgrade?
- Your jobs, proposals, and payment history stay. Some features (unlimited quotes, change orders, job costing) pause until you upgrade again.
